Atlantis Academy was established in 1976 for students who have learning difficulties and are struggling in their current school environment. Atlantis Academy emphasizes the importance of close parent/teacher/student relationships for the benefit of each child.  Atlantis Academy offers a program that allows students to discover their strengths, their own unique learning styles and the methods and technologies that work for them. 

Position details:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Positive Behavioral Intervention Support (PBIS).
  • Update and maintain behavioral and academic data on all students.
  • Mentor teachers in appropriate behavioral and academic strategies to ensure student success by assisting the School Director in checking lesson plans and assure they are being followed.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing goals and objectives for program and staff in accordance with organization’s goal and objectives as assigned by School Director.
  • Facilitate ongoing, effective, open communication between management, staff, parents, and care providers to assure that information about issues, concerns, policies, and practices are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, in addition to the company’s quality assurance process, in accordance with standard operating procedures and the company’s Integrity Assurance Review (IAR) process.
  • Assisting in the Marketing Program and Admissions Process.

  • Assist and follows up with parents in going through the McKay process and helping them understand their rights under McKay in order to receive proper funding for all of the needed services for the child.
