  Coordinator, Behavior Analyst
The Coordinator, Behavior Analyst will report to the supervisor of Autism Spectrum Disorder/Intellectual Disabilities and the supervisor of Emotional Behavior Disorders.  The Coordinator will provide district wide consultation and direct support in all areas of behavior management. This position will work collaboratively with district, area, and school leaders and teams to develop, implement, and maintain multi-tiered behavioral supports and data-based decision-making processes.  Provide site-based consultation, technical assistance, professional development, and direct coaching to support highly effective school wide, classroom level, and targeted small group and individual behavior management interventions, including in the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and alternative education settings. Consult with teams to facilitate intensive, individualized functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and positive behavior intervention plans (PBIP) that increase the success of students with significant behavior challenges.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practices, and actively participates in Problem-Solving Leadership Teams (PSLT), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for Behavior (MTSS-B), Problem Solving Response to Intervention (PSRTi), and School-Wide Behavior Systems (PBS, CHAMPS), and the ability to create and sustain related management systems.
- Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge and current research/evidence-based practices related to behavior assessment and intervention strategies for small groups and individuals.
- Demonstrates personal and professional growth and expertise by remaining current with state and national associations, certifications, and with professional trends. Attends required and optional trainings related to job skills and/or provides follow-up with district level training and to maintain professional certification (i.e., educator, behavior analyst).
- Provides supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA), and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) candidates to support efficient and thorough information gathering, intervention implementation, integrity monitoring, data recording, and related practices.
- Coordinates activities with supervisors and administrators to develop systems to prevent behaviors that lead to suspension, restraint and seclusion 
- In coordination with the General Director of ESE and Area Leadership Teams, develops and provides relevant professional development workshops and/or training programs to assist appropriate staff in updating their skills, increasing their knowledge base, and maintaining professional certificates.
- Delivers proficiency-based training and coaching in classroom management strategies, point-level systems, and effective foundational practices (e.g., descriptive praise, precision commands, planning ignoring).
- Frequently observes and works closely and directly with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors (including assaultive behaviors). Consults with and provides technical assistance to teams to gather and analyze relevant information and data about individual students’ behaviors and the environments, prepare hypotheses of behavioral functions, plan measurement procedures, and gain team consensus in the completion of the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) documents.
- Consults with, and provides technical assistance to teams to select function-based interventions derived from the FBA, prepare practical procedure descriptions, train, model, and coach those who will deliver the intervention, monitor student behavior change and intervention integrity, and support data-based decisions throughout the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIP).
- Coordinates activities and workload in the office.
- Assists with the development and delivery of training and on-going assistance.
- Oversees use of department budget and assures availability of appropriate supplies for personnel.
- Assists with the organization, management, and coordination of the operations of the department.
- Serves as a liaison between the school district and various community groups and agencies.
- Provides status reports and projections.
-Oversees the daily operations of the department, including assignment of work to personnel and monitoring the quality of work accomplished.
- Maintains a program of good public relations through cooperation with other district and school level personnel, and through participation in appropriate local, state, and national organizations.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.

Professional qualifications are listed below:
Education: A Master's Degree is required.  Degree or formal training in appropriate content area required.
Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in classroom teaching or school psychology with emphasis on behavioral supports and interventions, with two (2) years of related management or supervisory experience preferred. 
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate, or certification in School Psychology and BCBA/BCBA-D/BCaBA certifications, or completion of BCBA/BCBA-D/BCaBA certification within three years.
